Camden Power Station reaches out to a day care centre

"This was a much needed support for the centre"

Camden Power Station donated R50 900 (fifty thousand and nine hundred rands) to Inhlo’semhle Day Care Centre near Ermelo for the purchase and installation of an outdoor jungle gym and palisades for fencing.

Camden Power Station Human Resources Manager Mr Peter Lukhele said this was a much needed support for the centre and the gesture indicates that Eskom is a caring organisation.

The centre is a non-profit organisation and accommodates 70 children between ages of 2 -6 years old. They currently have 65 children and 5 staff members who are responsible for these young lives.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr Lukhele also said educating a child begins at a very young age, a philosophy that Inhlos’enhle Day-Care Centre has adopted.

The children are also taught English, isiZulu and writing skills among other learning activities
