Appreciation for teachers shown

MD Coovadia Principal conveys how much teachers are appreciated.

BETHAL – Since Teachers’ Day was on a public holiday this year, the teachers from MD Coovadia Combined School decided to celebrate it later in October.

Mr Gerhard Burger, Principal, wanted to show how much teachers are appreciated.

“I cannot give you more money, but I can try to make your circumstances as pleasant as possible.

“We do not see what you do daily and the effort that you put in, but know that we appreciate your hard work,” Mr Burger told the teachers.

Teachers came together at La Bella Donna Coffee Shop in Bethal and enjoyed lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

Each teacher received a gift and Mr Burger explained: “Hang this behind your door and give yourself a pat on the back each morning and remember that the work you do is appreciated.

“See it as an extension of my arm that gives you a pat on the back.”

Mr Burger thanked the sponsors, Mr Kassim from Action Build, Mr André Pretorius and Mr Jeandré Venter who made it possible to celebrate Teachers Day.
