Power interruptions scheduled for the weekend
Scheduled maintenance will cause power supply interruptions.
HIGHVELD – In a statement released on 6 October, the Govan Mbeki Municipality has warned residents to be prepared for a scheduled power supply interruption due to routine maintenance of power transformers by Eskom.
Power supply will be interrupted between 9am and 4pm on Sunday, 9 October.
According the Mr Bheki Kubheka, Senior Manager in the Office of the Municipal Manager and Acting head of Communications and Marketing for the municipality, residents are advised to treat all power installations as live throughout this period.
He also conveyed the municipality’s apologies for any inconvenience caused.
The areas that will be affected by the power interruptions include Secunda, Trichardt and Evander.
Residents from eMbalenhle were warned to expect power supply interruptions from 8am to 5pm on Sunday, 9 October.
