Man beaten to death over livestock grazing on other people’s land

Two men, a father and a son, have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mr Thabo Mofokeng

Mr Thabo Mofokeng, a herder, was found dead at a farm near Rooikoppen moments ago.

According to the Standerton Police, Mr Mofokeng was allegedly assaulted after a dispute about livestock that was grazing on other people’s land.

The police said the deceased was transported in a bakkie to another farm and dumped there after the assault.

“Two men, a father and a son have been arrested in connection with Mr Mofokeng’s murder,” Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communication officer of the Standerton Police, said.
