Thieves rob ATM at Binda’s Tavern

According to the police the thieves cut the palisade fence surrounding the premises with a cutting torch to gain entry.

During the early hours of the morning the Absa ATM at Binda’s Tavern was broken into and it appears as though the money was stolen.

Ms Senamile Phungula, Standerton Advertiser journalist, who is currently on the scene, said police are waiting for Absa’s manager to assess the damage.

According to the police the thieves cut the palisade fence surrounding the premises with a cutting torch to gain entry.

It is suspected that the suspects also tampered with the video camera, but police still have to review the CCTV footage.
