Teachookid visits Sizwakele Secondary Schools

Teachookid Youth Information Centre donated sanitary towels to pupils of Sizwakele Secondary School.

eMBALENHLE Teachookid Youth Information Centre helps the youth to gain insight regarding their future careers.

It provides information to people of 16 to 35 years old about education and training, employment, self-employment and health and well being.

It also gives them access to the Internet and basic computer literacy.

Since its inception, the centre has provided career guidance workshops, career counselling and entrepreneurship workshops to local youth.

Mr Edward Letsimo, centre manager, said the centre is determined to transform the lives of the youth through information and knowledge.

He said they often visit schools and offer their services and hosts various awareness campaigns.

“We believe we are making a difference in the community and we call on the youth to visit our centre.

“Because of the various problems, the youth often find themselves vulnerable to crime and substance abuse, but we hope our centre helps.

“We also provide life skills and give peer support to them.”

The centre and various stakeholders recently visited Sizwakele Secondary School to provide career guidance and to donate sanitary towels.
