Pupil sent to prison

Ntombela was arrested and charged for stabbing two fellow pupils and a teacher at Lindile Secondary School on 18 April.

Sabelo “Mzulu” Ntombela (20), facing two charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, was sentenced last Monday to three years’ imprisonment on each count with the sentences running concurrently.

Ntombela was arrested and charged for stabbing two fellow pupils and a teacher at Lindile Secondary School on 18 April.

He briefly appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 22 April where his case was postponed to 3 May for further investigation and he was denied bail.

The case was further postponed on 9 May for further investigation.

Ntombela pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced last Monday.
