Property was recently destroyed in a house in Azalea after the owner allegedly left an iron on that caught fire when he went to work.
According to the Department of Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management, the neighbours forcibly opened the door when they saw smoke coming from the house.
They managed to extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the house.
