Family forced to live in caravan and car after fire destroys house

“Luckily my son was able to save them,” the owner of the house said.

The Maseko family members are only left with the clothes on their backs after their home in Sakhile burnt to the ground on 9 August.

All their belongings were destroyed in blaze and they could not save anything.

According to Mr Abel Maseko, owner, he was not at home when the incident occurred, but his children were there.

He said they do not know what started the fire, but are glad no one was injured.

Two of the family members were sleeping when the incident occurred.

“Luckily my son was able to save them, even though the fire had spread into the room they were in,” Mr Maseko said.
