People raise funds for Logan’s cochlear implants

Much more needed for operations.

SECUNDA – Little Logan Dyssel was born with a congenital cardiac disorder.

Open heart surgery was performed on him when he was about eight months old.

He suffered two strokes and as a result he can not hear, walk or see properly.

A fundraising event was held today at Lake Umuzi to help Logan’s parents pay for the cochlear implants that Logan needs to help him hear.

The cost of one implant is R275 000 per ear.

The medical aid only pays R7 000.

The event was organised by motorbike clubs Chain Reaction, Parrot Riders, Black Fangs and clubs from Bethal.

It will continue until 12pm and Leonardo, Charlie Nash, Renaldo and many more are performing.

Food, drinks and entertainment are also available for the children.
