Patient and medical personnel survive accident

The lmv tyre burst caused it to capsize onto the oncoming ambulance.

Two Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel and a nurse transporting a patient survived a head on collusion between their ambulance and a light motor (lmv) vehicle on the old Witbank road on Wednesday.

It is alleged that the lmv tyre burst causing it to capsize onto the oncoming ambulance. The patient was admitted at Witbank Hospital and the three in Mid-Med hospital, Middleburg.

One member of the EMS was treated for minor injuries and was discharged while the second member is still treated for a femur fracture, the nurse is also still in hospital as she awaits results of CT scan after complaining for severe head aches and the patient was unharmed.
