SECUNDA- Executive Mayor, Ms Lindi Masina delivered her last speech in the Council Meeting today.
She said she is happy to say her heart-felt greeting to the mayoral committee and all Councillors.
Ms Masina prided herself for all the achievements in her term and Sasol initiatives was on top of her five-year overview.
She also acknowledged that the municipality is facing very serious financial challenges.
“Eskom is still our biggest challenge. However, we are working around the clock to find solutions. The account increase monthly due to electricity theft and people not paying their services. A new Eskom payment plan proposal will be tabled today.”
The Council Meeting is underway.
