LEANDRA – Residents of Lebohang were happy to have the Siyaphila HTC tent near Leandra recently, because they only have one clinic and the queues are long.
The HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) campaign was launched by the South African Government in April 2010 and goes hand-in-hand with Government’s actions to increase access to treatment, care and support for those who are HIV infected.
Siyaphila HTC does not only offer HIV/Aids services, but also tests for high blood and diabetes.
Ms Elsie Buthelezi, project manager, said the response was very good and residents asked them to return.
“They were pleased, because the results were available immediately,” said Ms Buthelezi.
