SECUNDA – Sizwakele Secondary School won the U/19 Kay Motsepe Provincial Soccer Cup finals on Saturday, 26 September at the Themba Sinamela Stadium in Middelburg.
Four teams competed for the R100 000 provincial winners’ cheque.
In the first game the reigning champions were beaten 2-0 by St Marks Secondary School from Ehlanzeni District.
They beat Hoërskool Kriel from Nkangala District 2-1 and beat Tshepanang Secondary School from Bohlabela District 2-0 in the third game.
Mr Sam Moemisi, principal of Sizwakele Secondary School, congratulated the team and said he is proud of them.
The team will now represent the province at the National Kay Motsepe Tournament in October.
