Little ones enjoy delicious treat

70 per cent of the toddlers at the centre are orphaned and are cared for and housed by their teachers.

Staff and management of Colefax Trading t/a KFC Ermelo visited their Add Hope beneficiary, Qedusizi Day Care Centre, last Friday.

Since joining forces with KFC last year, Qedusizi has grown from 48 to 142 kids between the ages of two and six.
According to the principal, Nonhlanhla Msibi Mathobela, the centre was established 17 years ago and is partially subsidised by the departments of social services and education.

70 per cent of the toddlers at the centre are orphaned and are cared for and housed by their teachers.
With the community adding R2 to their bill every time they buy a meal at KFC, they make it possible for the kids to have three square meals and two snacks at the centre every day

Armed with cake, soft drinks and other delicious treats, the staff descended on the day care centre for a morning of fun.
A few of the children also had the opportunity to experience working in a kitchen.

Donning their aprons and caps, they helped prepare fruit salad for all.
The children enjoyed the morning with their benefactors and Ms Mathobela and the teaching staff expressed their gratitude towards KFC.
