The Standerton Police received a tip-off about a shallow grave in Rooikoppen on 17 August.
Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communication officer of the Standerton Police, said they suspected a human body was buried in the grave.
“The grave was big enough to fit a body in,” Lt Nhlabathi also said.
