SECUNDA – Govan Mbeki Municipality would like to inform the community on the change of service provider that supply electricity to third party vendors on behalf of the municipality.
This change is as a result of the lapsing of the contract between Govan Mbeki Municipality and ITRON that was supplying electricity on behalf of the municipality.
The community must take note that all third party vendors were informed about this transition which will become effective on 1 September.
The new service provider, Landis and GYR, will enter into a contract with the same third party vendors that the community used for their electricity purchases in order to not inconvenience the community.
The municipality will release the list of the third party vendors once the contract processes are finalised between the new service provider and the third party vendors.
