One man dies in eMba/Standerton road accident

Truck driver loses control over truck.

eMBALENHLE – One person died and two others were seriously injured in a truck accident between eMbalenhle and Standerton.

Three men were travelling in the truck that was loaded with groceries when the driver apparently lost control over the truck and it went into a river.

The accident happened just before the second four way stop from Evander to Standerton.

Police spokesperson Capt Magonseni Nkosi said he received a call at 9.45am informing him of the accident.

He said the cause of the accident is not yet known and referred the newspaper to the provincial department of safety and security for further comment.

No comment has yet been received.

The two injured men were taken to the Evander Hospital and the name of the deceased is not known.
