The Sakhile Police arrested the following suspects during March.
Property related crime:
• Seven for residential burglary.
• Four for the theft of personal belongings.
Contact related crime:
• 12 for assault grievous bodily harm (GBH).
• Nine for common assault.
• One for malicious damage to property.
• Four for rape.
• Two for attempted murder.
According to the Sakhile Detectives Branch alcohol abuse contributes to crime, especially late at night.
They urged young people in particular to avoid bad company, which has a negative influence.
Sustaining a safe and quiet environment is the main objective of the police.
