Thief shot dead

A thief was shot dead after stealing a wallet out of a vehicle in Walter Sisulu Drive, opposite the train station, on 3 December.

The thief apparently waited for the vehicle to stop and when the driver got out, the thief opened the passenger door and grabbed a wallet that was lying on the passenger seat.

The owner of the car warned him to drop the wallet, but he did not listen and ran towards the bridge that leads to the station, when the owner of the vehicle fired one shot.

The villain was struck and died on the scene, a case of murder has been opened at the Standerton Police Station.
