Companies collect money for welfare

Waco group invite all companies.

EVANDER – The Waco group which consists of Sanitech, Abacus, SGB and Formscaff will be hosting the Golf for Hope Golf Day at Walkerpark Golf Club on Friday, 21 November.

The group hosted the Fishing for Hope event in 2012 and raised R20 000 for the Cosmos Kriel Orphanage.

They hosted their first Golfing for Hope Golf Day last year and raised R120 000 for the Janelle House in Evander.

The purpose of the golf day this year is to raise funds for the Velile Victim Empowerment Centre and the Qalakancane Day Care Centre, as well as for the SAVF Louis Hildebrandt Children’s home.

The Velile Victim Empowerment Centre and Qalakacane Day Care Centre are situated in eMbalenhle and the day care centre takes care of 20 needy children and the victim empowerment centre cares for more than 20 children who have been chased away from their homes.

These children are mostly girls.

Both centres are registered with the Department of Social Development and is run by Ms Sylvia Mbanjwa, a rape victim, on a leased stand at her RDP house.

The SAVF Hildebrandt Children’s Home is situated in Volksrust.

Entrance fees are R2 500 per company or R750 per player and includes a golf game and the evening braai.

The day begins at 7.30am and there is a cash bar available.

The Waco group invited all organisations to take advantage of this marketing opportunity that will offer great exposure for businesses.
