Police recover motorbikes in eMbalenhle

It is alleged that Mozambican vehicles were seen transporting goods from the premises.

eMBALENHLE -The local police recovered disassembled motor bikes, squad bikes and a new refrigerator in Extension 18 on Thurday,14 November.

According to the police records, one motorbike was reported stolen on 10 November and the other one was reported stolen in eMalahleni in November.

The police also found two registration plates which were identified as belonging to a motorbike that was reported stolen in Newcastle in September.

No one was arrested.

Capt Magonseni Nkosi, police spokesman, said according to information, the known owner of the house where the items were found, died and since then various people were seen going in and out of the premises.

“We encourage residents to enhance security measures for their vehicles and motorbikes.

“We had the break though through a tracker that was installed in one of the motorbikes.”

He said it is also alleged that Mozambican vehicles were seen transporting goods from the premises.
