Police urge people to drink responsibly

Capt Magonseni Nkosi warns people to be cautious when walking at night.

eMBALENHLE – A suspect in various crimes was found dead with two stab wounds in Extension 4 recently.

Capt Magonseni Nkosi, spokesman, said people should refrain from travelling alone at night, especially between the two liquor outlets in the area.

He said it seems criminals are now targeting people from the liquor outlets and that area is becoming a crime hot spot.

Police arrested the suspects regarding this murder and 30 people were also arrested for public drinking.

Capt Nkosi said the police are working hard to reduce crime in the area and asked residents to cooperate with them.“

If people want to have fun, they must do it responsibly.

“Taking fun to the streets at night, always results in serious crimes.”
