Valuables stolen during housebreaking

A house was broken into while the owner was in church, valuable goods worth about R20 000 were stolen.

Thieves broke into a house and stole goods worth about R20 000, while the complainant was in church on 25 October.

The complainant was attending a church service that began in the evening and ended the morning of 26 October.

She left her teenage grandchildren behind when she departed.

After arriving back at her home she found the youngsters crying, telling her the house had been broken into.

She discovered that some of her furniture, groceries and microwave were stolen.

The complainant reported the theft to the Sakhile Police.

The police are investigating and urged the community not to buy stolen goods, as well as to report illegal activities.
