SECUNDA – Cansa, the ATKV women’s branch, Dr Gareth Raman, NW Style Secrets Hair Salon and Lancet Laboratory held a wellness day on Wednesday, 22 October at the GP Raman Medical Centre.
This state-of-the-art medical centre opened its doors to all patients for free consultations and treatment.
Dr Raman did screenings and pap smears and Sr Sarie Genade did clinical breast examinations.
Some patients were referred for further examinations.
The group plans to make the wellness day an annual event.
Ms Tracey van Wyk from the ATVK thanked everyone who made the day a success.
She urged men to go for examinations regularly as she reckons men usually leave it until it is too late.
