Local talent, Mankind, releases EP

Tswelopele is a musician from Sakhile, he is the first artist signed under Black Nation Music.

Tswelopele Tsotetsi is a young up and coming musician who hails from Sakhile.

He the first artist signed under Black Nation Music.

Born in eMalahleni (Witbank) and growing up in Sakhile, he went to school with brothers Andrew and Thulasizwe Simelane at Hlobisa Primary School.

He has recently released an EP, a musical recording shorter than a full-lenght album, titled “Give that tenda”, containing five tracks.

Tswelopele Tsotetsi, also known as Mankind, moved to Johannesburg last year to study journalism, but later dropped out due to financial constraints.

“I worked at McDonalds and at a fish and chips shop in Witbank before moving to Johannesburg,” he said.

He joined Black Nation as a runner, learning the tricks of the trade.

He performed at the pre-party of the Standerton Music Festival and at the main event.

“I want to succeed in everything I do, want to be financially free, be fashionable and be happy with my family,” he said.
