Girls empowered to face life boldly

Girl Power Ministry celebrated their third annual conference from 29 to 30 August.

KINROSS – Girl Power Ministry held their third annual conference on Saturday, 30 August.

It promotes the virtues of a Christian-based relationship between mothers and daughters from all walks of life and churches.

Girl Power Ministry is stationed in Secunda and is a ministry that is prayer driven, a church within a church that empowers each individual girl, enabling them to connect with their Designer and Maker through whole night prayer sessions held on the last Friday of the month.

Ms Bongi Ndimande, president and founder of Girl Power Ministry, said this conference was aimed at thanking God for helping Girl Power Ministry from the first conference in 2012.

“We thank His presence and guidance as we have successfully held our whole night prayers every last Friday of each month.

“He shielded us, clothed us and protected us and our families.

“We say Ebenezer to Him who initiated and birthed us.

“Every girl needs a safe place and platform from where she can be free to be herself and to confront her challenges, weaknesses and ambitions and this ministry is doing exactly that.”

Women and girls from various Town such as Ulundi and Dududza attended the conference.

Dr Eva Seobi of Women Alive Ministry preached and encouraged the attendees about God’s faithfulness and Apostle Morudi emphasised that God has an answer for every trouble and challenge.

Amandlenkosi Ndimande, the Weeping Poet, and Izigi Performing Arts performed poetry and drama.
