VIDEO – Pupil (9) falls down concrete steps and breaks leg

Jeria Ambulance Services was quick to respond and treated her for injuries in the hip area, she was then taken to the Standerton Hospital.

A nine-year-old girl from Funduqhubeka Primary School, in the Perdekop area, fell down concrete steps and broke her leg during a cross-country event at the Hoërskool Standerton sports grounds on 26 August.

According to Mr Pat van der Westhuizen, who specialises in bio-kinetics and was on the scene, the pupil tripped and fell down four or five concrete steps on the main pavilion.

Jeria Ambulance Services was quick to respond and treated her for injuries in the hip area, she was then taken to the Standerton Hospital.
