Chief Moses Mahlangu dies

Family describes amaNdebele chief as an experienced traditional leader.

eMBALENHLE – Chief Moses Mahlangu from the Ndzundza Mabhoko Royal Kraal of amaNdebele died on Thursday, 14 August, after a long illness.

He was installed as the chief of the area by King Mabusa Besala in Driefontein Township in 1972.

Chief Mahlangu was born in Charl Cilliers in 1942.

He worked at a vehicle repairing company in Kinross.

Mr Jan Mahlangu (46) said his father was an experienced traditional leader who loved all people from various cultures.

Chief Mahlangu was honoured by King Mayisha III, king of the Ndzundza Mabhoko Tribe, for his 36 years of excellent service in 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Ms Anna Mtsweni, two children and more than 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Chief Mahlangu’s funeral service will take place at 11am on Saturday at his house, stand number 982 in Extension 2.

He will be buried at the Kinross Cemetery.
