Young leaders can now apply to attend One Young World Summit in Ireland.

SECUNDA – Sasol is on the lookout for 10 young community leaders from various countries for its operations to take part as delegates in the One Young World Summit to be hosted in Dublin, Ireland in October.

The search for applicants is underway and Sasol encourages youth who are exceptional young leaders and who are making significant changes in their communities, to apply now.

Together with One Young World, Sasol is helping to bring some of the world’s most extraordinary young minds together to attend this year’s summit.

The One Young World Summit, now in its fifth year, is a platform for young people globally between the ages of 18 and 30 to debate and formulate solutions to pressing global issues.

“The One Young World Summit creates a platform, by giving today’s bright stars the opportunity to share wisdom and insights on common global challenges,” said Mr Alex Anderson, Sasol’s Group Media Manager.

“Sasol will consider applicants from South Africa, Mozambique, Qatar, Nigeria, America, United Kingdom and Germany whose community impact is specifically linked to the area of sustainable development, health, education, community leadership, innovation and youth unemployment.

“Sasol will champion those who live permanently and work or study in their country of representation.

“Selected candidates must be able to prove nationality of the country they wish to represent and their community impact must be linked to the country in which they live and represent.”

Ms Pamilla Mudhray, Sasol’s Group Community Affairs manager said: “Sasol is immensely proud to sponsor 10 delegates to the summit.

“It will be a great experience where the chosen leaders will find solutions and have valuable discussions and take key learning that arise from the One Young World Summit and share them in their respective communities.

“These young minds will get the opportunity to generate and articulate impactful ideas that will initiate a positive change in their communities and the world in which we all live in.”

At the end of the summit, delegates will graduate as One Young World ambassadors, joining a global network of young leaders who are creating positive change around the world.

If you think you meet the requirements and have evidence regarding your commitment to volunteering or any other extracurricular activity, Sasol welcomes your application to join the pool of candidates.
