Learners complete driving course

In celebration of their achievement, Mr Mthethwa organised a function to which community members and municipal representatives were invited.

Last Friday was an important day for 10 indigent young people of Kwa-Zanele, Breyten as they celebrated the completion of their driving lessons and receiving their driver’s licences.
Businessman and owner of Dingiswayo Driving School, Mr Nsongo Douglass Mthethwa, took in the group and offered to pay for their driving lessons until they received their licences.
In celebration of their achievement, Mr Mthethwa organised a function to which community members and municipal representatives were invited.
Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) Chief Whip Agnes Mnisi applauded Mr Mthethwa for his kind gesture and giving back to the community.
“The community of Kwa-Zanele and the District Municipality are happy with these kids’ achievements and thankful to Mr Mthethwa for his kindness.
You have participated in eradicating poverty to 10 families, as these kids will now be able to compete in a job market where a driver’s licence is a prerequisite,” said Ms Mnisi.
Mr Mthethwa said he was happy to have lent a helping hand to the community that has been supporting his business over the years.
The 10 beneficiaries could not contain their excitement as they chanted songs praising Mr Mthethwa.
Several members of the community joined in this praise.
Other local business people were also encouraged to give back to the community and help eradicate poverty and to uplift the youth.
