Zuma calls on people to vote ‘overwhelmingly’ for the ANC

ANC aims at winning all provinces in the upcoming general elections on 7 May.

eMBALENHLE – Mr Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa and the ANC, said the party is continuously gaining ground and is increasing its support base in various communities.

He said this is contrary to negative views made by political analysts.

Mr Zuma was addressing thousands of ANC members and supporters at the Risko Fakude Stadium during his campaign on Tuesday, 22 April.

He expressed confidence in the party’s support and said Mpumalanga is one of the party’s strongest bases.

Mr Zuma said the ANC wants to win all provinces in the upcoming general elections on 7 May.

He, however, warned people not to waste their votes by voting for opposition parties that will give their leaders seats in Parliament and nothing else.

Mr Zuma said the ANC remains “the movement of the people”.

Other parties, he said, could only “talk about the ANC when they opened their mouths, but fail to present their own manifestos to the public”.

Mr Zuma called on residents to vote “overwhelmingly for the ANC” to give the party the majority it needs to speed up transformation and service delivery.
