Man trapped under tractor

STANDERTON – A man was cutting grass with a tractor when it fell into a hole and he was trapped under it last Thursday.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, but had to wait for the fire brigade to rescue him.

Medical personnel extinguished the fire.

His wife, son and friends stood helplessly by, watching the rescue team trying to free him.

The man was rescued and rushed to the Standerton Hospital.

According to Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of

Standerton Police, a case of reckless and negligent driving was opened.
