Zuma visits eMbalenhle

SA president says ANC will rule many for years.

eMBALENHLE – Mr Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa and the ANC, said political parties that think they can topple the ANC in the coming general elections, are lying to people.

He was addressing more than 5 000 residents who attended the ANC Gert Sibande District Mini Rally that was held at the Risko Fakude Stadium on 22 April.

Mr Zuma confidently told them the ANC would rule for many years to come.

“Many people are beginning new political parties and are promising people heaven and earth.

“They are not going to be in Government and if they say so, they are lying to you.

“How can they change your condition if they do not have experience in Government?”

Mr Zuma urged locals people to stick with the ANC that has been bringing about development since 1994.

He said he was speaking not only to ANC supporters, but journalists too who were also, once, not free.

“Now they wake up and write about the president.

“If they did that in those days, they would be out in the cold.

“Journalists and political analysts do not understand the ANC.”

Mr Zuma emphasised that South Africa would become a prosperous country.

“We are on a long journey to the promised land.”

Mr David Mabuza, Premier and chairman of the ANC in Mpumalanga, said the party is targeting a more than 90 per cent victory in the province in the elections on 7 May.
