Pupils showcase talents

The night included a variety of items, from singing, dancing, gumboots dancing to acrobatics. They also had a lucky draw, where the winner won a weekend-getaway to Fern Hill Hotel in KwaZulu Natal.

Standerton Primary School held a Talent Show to showcase the talent of the pupils on 26 March.

The evening included a variety of items, from singing, dancing, gumboots dancing to acrobatics.

They also had a lucky draw, where the winners won a weekend-getaway to Fern Hill Hotel in KwaZulu Natal.

The winners slept in a suite where Nelson Mandela had slept.

Ms Nadia Pochee won the getaway-prize.

The school thanked all the sponsors for making the event a success.

The junior winner was Zoë Lecordier (energy dance) and Siwe Mahlangu, Wandile Kumako, Lindiwe Ntsuntsha and Katleho Thamae were second with country dance.

The senior winner was John Lecordier (piano) and Tsepo Tshabalala, Gift Makhubu and Thato Mahamotsa were second with gumboots dancing.

John Lecordier was the overall winner with the well-known piano piece “Für Elize”.
