Members of ANC Women’s League in uniform

“This uniform represents the women’s movement and unity.

The ANC Women’s League in Msukaligwa region held its uniform inauguration of a group of women who qualified to wear the black and green uniform.

They also took the oath that goes with the uniform.

The event saw fellow members from as far as Bushbuckridge attend this function at Breyten recently.

Ms Dumisile Nhlengethwa, a Member of Parliament (MP), led the women in the oath and explained the meaning and responsibility that goes with the uniform.

“This uniform represents the women’s movement and unity.

It shall be worn with respect and you members shall respect and conduct yourselves as such,” explained Ms Nhlengethwa.

In attendance was also the Women’s League provincial treasurer, Ms T. “Gogo Brown” Mnisi.

She sent a warning to the members that ill-discipline and misbehaviour will not be tolerated.

She urged the women to be faithful in both the organisation and in their household.
