The Bikers Church in Secunda and Our Place in Trichardt took hands and initiated a project to collect water for the Cape.
The community opened their hearts and taps to donate water.
The truck left Trichardt on Friday, 9 February and arrived at the Bikers Church in Cape Town on Saturday.
The local animal welfare organisation Little Paws Big Hearts, also collected water and sent it to two animal shelters in the Cape.
“It is phenomenal how the community contributed to this project,” said Ms Juanita Vermeulen from Our Place.
The organisers of the project said there were about 40 000 litres of water on the truck.
