[PHOTOS and VIDEO] Emergency services host Emergency Heroes course

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) and other emergency services hosted the Emergency Heroes course at Lake Umuzi on Saturday, 7 October.

This course was part of the Umuzi Week of Festivals and included a demonstration of emergency vehicles, self defense tips, talks about safety and a snake show.

The children enjoyed the snake show and had the opportunity to touch the snakes and get a closer look at them. They also learnt more about venomous snakes and what to do in case of an emergency.

Langamed South Ambulance Services showed the children how to do CPR and they also had the opportunity to practice CPR on dolls.
