eMzinoni residents voice frustrations with GMM and its service delivery

Some of the issues raised during the public hearing were shortages of houses and land, a lack of electricity and a shortage of water.

eMzinoni residents took advantage of the presence of Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane, public protector, during the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, to voice their frustrations with the Govan Mbeki Municipality and its service delivery.

They urged her to investigate the municipality’a high billing system.

Ms Thandi Shongwe, Speaker of the Provincial Legislature, asked residents to wait for the public consultations to raise their concerns and to use the opportunity to speak to the public protector regarding constitutional matters and serious cases.
