Traffic officials are currently rerouting traffic in Simon Street in Bethal towards the alternative route through Ext 23 in eMzinoni.
The road will be closed for 3 to 4 hours after an accident involving two trucks.
The accident happened on the Morgenzon road just after the T-junction on the N17 highway.
