Govan Mbeki Municipality has implemented a WhatsApp line for the purpose of reporting service delivery complaints through messaging.
“As part of our continuous effort to improve communication between the community and the Municipality, we are pleased to announce the new WhatsApp number 083 790 0659,” said Govan Mbeki Municipal spokesman Mr Bheki Kubheka in a press release.
“The number has been implemented for the purpose of reporting service delivery complaints through messaging and picture sharing and it is linked with the call center.
“We encourage the community to take full advantage of the smart effect of our cellular phones by take pictures of their service delivery complaints and thereafter send location through the same method.
“We must emphasize that this number is not a replacement for the existing call center numbers but a supplement for messaging only.”
