Dam levels rapidly rise
According to Gauteng Weather, the Grootdraai Dam, which is currently 102,51% full, has been opened and its water is flowing into the Vaal Dam.
According to the DWS, the Vaal Dam was recorded to be 81.64% full on Thursday, 23 February, reaching two-year high.
Gauteng Weather confirmed the rapid rise, saying that the increase points to a massive 10,02% point rise in 24 hours alone.
Projections indicated that the Vaal might still cross over the 85% boundary on Thursday.
The Grootdraai Dam, which is currently 102,51% full, has been opened and its water is will be flowing into the Vaal Dam on Thursday morning,
