Khasanda grows big in music

Khasanda was a backing vocalist for gospel artists such as Thobile Myeni and Khayalethu Masuku from Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors.

KINROSS – Asanda (Khasanda) Khasana released her single album, “Umjikelezo”, under the commercial house genre.

Her journey as an artist began when she was a member of a worshipping team at her church.

Khasanda was identified by a well-known gospel artist, Zoliswa Delihlazo, who asked her to be her backing vocalist.

“Ms Delihlazo knows many artists and when they perform in the area and are in need of artists, she always recommends me,” said Khasanda who was a backing vocalist for gospel artists such as Thobile Myeni and Khayalethu Masuku from Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors.

She got her breakthrough in music when she met Sibusiso (Da louf) Masombuka who was performing in Kinross and asked her to write her own song.

Da louf is part of the Black Master group.

He loved Khasanda’s voice and the way she performed the song and recommended her to Biziwe Collin Masango who signed a recording deal with her.

After she released her album, she was booked to perform in Pretoria and Botswana, among others.

“Music is a career from which I can see myself make a living,” said Khasanda.

She encouraged her followers to ask radio stations to play her song, “Umjikelezo”.

Her music is also available online and her video on YouTube.
