Soccer fans await big day
Soccer fans said this is the biggest match to be witnessed in eMbalenhle.
eMBALENHLE – Two local teams that are currently campaigning in the ABC Motsepep League will face each other on Saturday, 10 December.
Secunda Stars has been playing in the league for a long time, but the new team on the block, Zone Mavo FC, was promoted from the Castle League and it is their first year and first season on a higher level.
Zone Mavo is currently in seventh place with 17 points after they have won four games, drew five and lost three games.
Secunda Stars is ninth on the log with 15 points after playing 11 matches of which they had won three, drew six and lost two.
The match against Tjakastaad must still be decided by the league committee after the match was stopped because of bad behaviour by Tjakastaad players.
Soccer fans said this will be the biggest match in eMbalenhle.
Some even compared the match to that of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Both teams are known to have good players, but it remains to be seen who will be the best on Saturday.
Zone Mavo played 2-2 against Mphakathi Academy last Saturday and will face TS Galaxy FC on Wednesday, 7 December at Secunda Stadium.
Secunda Stars also played 1-1 against Mhluzi Black Rangers on Saturday, 3 December.
