Two illegal miners were found underground at the Evander Gold Mine Shaft 8 this morning.

They were immediately arrested.

Police are investigating on how they gained access to the mine.

This follows an arrest of 23 illegal miners at Winkelhaak Mine in the past two days during the Secunda Cluster Operation Fiela.
