MILAN PARK – MD Coovadia Combined School recently hosted a lunch for grandparents of the pupils.

This is an annual function.

Mr Gerhard Burger, principal, said grandparents still have a major role to play in the moral, norm and value development of children.

It is important to involve them.

“At our first grandparents’ function, we catered for 30 people and this year for about 100,” he said.

He also said that the school wants to give back and thanked Bethal Spar for their support.
