Michael takes it all

It was a tough decision but in the end Michael Louw blew them all away.

Graceland hosted a successful Idols final on Sunday, 26 July.

It was a tough decision for the judges to make because every finalist performed well.

Michael Louw, winner of the Graceland Idols, said he can remember singing Bryan Adams songs since he was eight years old.

He loves to sing because it is the only time when he can truly be himself.

Louw entered the Idols competition to see if he has got what it takes.

Judges described him as having a great stage presence and that he does not hold back.

The Graceland Idols competition began about 12 weeks ago and as it progressed, people loved it and supported it more.

The participants were judged on five criteria, namely appearance, stage performance, vocal ability and how the audience responded.

Louw won R5 000, a Samsung Q8 microphone, a performing contract from Graceland between R8 000 and R10 000 and a five track recording from Rodway Entertainment worth about R25 000.

Ayanda Adams came seconda and Tanya Da Silva third.

Graceland Idols was made possible by its generous sponsors, Music Network, Graceland and Rodway Entertainment.
