Kasselman flags down truck in Standerton

Kasselman Security Services flagged down a truck with fraudulent disks on the R50 road, after driver attempted theft of soy beans.

A suspicious Volvo truck was reportedly attempting to load soybeans at the Holmdene silos on August 27.

The driver, who failed to get the vehicle loaded, left the silos in the direction of Standerton without any cargo.

Kasselman Security Services used the information from the silos to track down the truck and stop it on the R50 near the Standerton Correctional Services.

Because of the swift response of Lekwa Traffic and the Standerton SAPS, they could launch an investigation. The officers found the truck had fraudulent licence disks and number plates.

These disks did not correspond with the original VIN numbers on the trailers.

They confiscated the truck as evidence for further investigation and arrested one suspect, who will be charged soon.
