Cullinan hosts next round of Mamelodi Masters Soccer League

The league boasts with more than 500 players.

The Cullinan Sports Centre hosted the next round of the Mamelodi Masters Soccer League on January 27, with 16 clubs battling for the title.

Mamelodi Masters League is in the north-east of the Pretoria (aka Tshwane) region.

The teams that played were Lapeng FC, East 11 Masters, Glenway Masters, X5 City, Kilindi Masters, Sundowns Supporters, Mahube United Masters, Legend 35 FC, Naledi Masters, Gem Valley Masters, Uptown Legends, MUBS Masters, Thandanani Masters, Rethabile Masters, Chipolopolo Masters, Bra Joe 11 Masters, Cullinan Masters and Aromat FC.

Eight teams advanced to the quarter-finals and will face each other on February 4.

In group A, the teams are East 11 Masters and X5 City.

In group B, the teams are Gem Valley Masters and Aromat FC.

In group C, the teams are Sundowns Supporters and Uptown Legends.

In group D, the teams are Thandanani Masters and Legend 35.

The league teams usually play at two separate locations each Sunday at various sports grounds, such as Mamelodi East, Rethabile and Cullinan sports grounds.

Only men 35 and older can play in the league, which boasts more than 500 players.
