Delmas CPF elects new committee

“The CPF will be assisting Delmas Police to ensure that the public is aware of crime and matters that pertain to the public.”

The Delmas CPF held elections last month. Johan Fabricious was elected as the new chairperson with the deputy chair, Piet Masombuka.

The secretarial duties will be performed by Geelbooi Mofokeng and the deputy secretary is Cindy Mpandhla.

Leah Margaret Tshukudu will perform the duties of treasurer and Sibusiso Mbonani will act as the public relations officer.

The new committee is looking forward to serving the community of Delmas and surrounds.

“Firstly, we would like to express our deepest appreciation for the past year’s executive committee, for their hard work and determination,” said Fabricious.

According to Fabricious, the newly elected executive committee is extremely excited to serve all parts of the community and would like to continue to build the Delmas CPF’s foundation on accountability, transparency, integrity and honesty.

“We, as the executive committee welcome the task ahead of being the voice of the community and engaging with Delmas SAPS as well as other stakeholders within our community. The Delmas CPF strive to make Delmas and outlining areas a safer and better environment to work and live in.

Fabricious also stated the Delmas CPF should not be seen as an enforcement organisation within Delmas, but rather as an educating and informative organisation where community members can voice their concerns.

“The CPF will be assisting Delmas Police to ensure that the public is aware of crime and matters that pertain to the public.”

“The executive committee aim to serve as a liaison between the police and the residents of Delmas. The public should be aware and assured that all information that is given and shared to the Delmas CPF in the matters of crimes being committed will be treated confidentially,” Fabricious concluded.
